Troubleshooting Tips

If you are having issues with your equipment, below are a few things to try before contacting service:

  • Check that the fuses are not blown. (There may be fuses on the rear of the tester as well as the front.)
  • Check that the fuses are the correct values.
  • If you have other cables, try swapping the cable to see if the problem follows the cable or stays with the tester.
  • Have you downloaded the USB Driver?
  • Try a different USB connector on your computer.
  • Try a different USB cable.
  • Try plugging the tester into a different outlet.
  • If you are using an inverter, try plugging the tester directly into a wall or traffic cabinet outlet.
  • Check that you have the current software and firmware. (They can be found on each products' page. Click "Products" on the top of this page or use the Search feature.)
