The Cabinet Monitor Unit (CMU) is the primary component of the ATC Cabinet Monitoring System. The CMU will continuously query various cabinet conditions.
If a fault condition is detected, the CMU will transfer the field signals to flashing operation.
Proper functioning of the CMU is of critical importance if safe operation of the cabinet is to be maintained. If the CMU is not functioning properly, a malfunction may go undetected, putting the public at great risk. This is why it is important to have a regular testing program in place to verify that each CMU is functioning properly.
Manufacturers also recommend that each CMU be tested at least annually to ensure compliance with the proper specifications.
-Tests both the 2212-LV CMU and the 2212-HV CMU.
